Ooh, shiny!

- Packaging Design: 4-Color with die cut
- Task
- PC Guardian developed this multi-tasking surge protector for college bookstore sales. They requested packaging that highlighted all of the products capabilities and that would appeal to their target market.
- Result
- It was important for us to quickly and simply communicate each of the products many capabilities without overwhelming the consumer with information (or, as we like to say, “pulling a Microsoft”). Since we weren’t able to reduce the amount of required text, we limited the color palette, used recognizable iconography, and opened up a window to let the product speak for itself.

- Package and Point of Purchase Design: 2-Color PMS insert in PVC tube
- Task
- PC Guardian needed cost-effective yet stand-out packaging to present their computer locks in a college retail setting.
- Result
- We took “out of the box” literally and showcased these locks in clear tubes which catch consumers’ eyes. We kept the color palette simple but bright and modern to let the product shine. Once launched, this packaging helped the product gain significant market share. College bookstore owners loved the way the product looked and stood out on their shelves compared to the competition.

- Retail Wall Plaques: 4-color offset laminated on MDF
- Task
- Portal Publications retail wall décor division saw a need to expand into new formats to complement their poster, matted and framed print retail lines.
- Result
- We researched the market, and determined several styles of "faux" vintage signage that would be favorably received by Portal’ mid-market consumers. To keep licensing costs down, we fully illustrated and designed the pieces in-house and oversaw the printing and manufacturing from start to finish.
